The Layla Chair was inspired by Hans Wegner’s original design (and now prolifically replicated) Wishbone Chair. The playful rendition was born from an effort to simplify the aesthetics without compromising the ergonomics and the structural integrity of the chair. The curved backrest was created through steam bending. The ability to stack this chair was an important parameter in the designing process, this added function allows greater commercial application. The seat is removable and comes in solid timber or upholstered leather.

MATERIALS

The Layla Chair is made from FSC Certifiedfurniture grade Tasmanian Blackwood with Chain of Custody Accreditation and natural leather. Other timbers options include American Oak and American Walnut.

MANUFACTURER

The Layla Chair is made to order, handcrafted over 10-14 days by our small team of skilled makers, in our Mullumbimby workshop. Lead times vary between 10-16 weeks.
