The Ruka Sideboard takes a fresh approach to the traditional sideboard. The simple design and aesthetic of the piece married with its detailed joinery; dovetailed frame and box draws, hand turned legs, and through morticed doors gives it a greater depth and sophistication. Even the dowels which connect the legs to the body of the dresser have been turned and wedged by hand, a nod to the handicraft of furniture makers and another aspect of this piece which dissolves into the design and is only noticed with closer inspection.

Materials

The Ruka Sideboard is made from FSC Certified furniture grade American Walnut with Chain of Custody Accreditation. Other timbers options include American Oak and Tasmanian Blackwood.

The Ruka Sideboard is made to order, handcrafted over 10 - 14 days by our small team of skilled makers, in our Mullumbimby workshop. Lead times vary between 10-16 weeks.
