JDLee Furniture - A Short Film
Earlier in the year I had the pleasure of catching up with Alicia, a mate from high school who is now one half of the creative husband and wife duo behind Smiling Sun. They spent a few days on the Far North NSW coast surfing, soaking up the sunshine and talking timber in my workshop. It was really lovely to be able to share a part of my journey with them, which they have so beautifully captured in this short film. JDLee Furniture has always been a holistic ad/venture for me. Trying to balance time in the shop with time at home, energy spent on design for efficient making, focusing on the functionality the longevity of each piece. The journey never ends, and as I’m coming close to a 5 year Milestone its really nice to reflect on what I have created and which direction I want to continue growing.
